Funny Confession #269

Keeping up with this 5 year old on a mountain pushes me to the edge of my comfort zone and athletic ability. On skis, he is as amazing as I am bad.

Our days on the hill here are fabulous, but my legs and I are always ready to turn the final corner at the end of the super long run down to our hotel.

This is a good vacation!

Hotel on the left there, it was as good as it looks.

Funny Confession #267

I excused myself from dinner, for a moment, to capture a selfie because I was that excited that my dress matched my entree. Who does that?

I need more purple potatoes in my life. You probably do too.

More Cowbell

Choo Choo

This old train goes straight up the mountain.

Funny Confession #266

I find livestock (and their smells) to be exponentially more likeable (charming even) when they are slopeside in Switzerland

Photo du Jour

Yodeleeheehoo. Switzerland is alright.

Inspired

Now here is a safe way to experiment with wallpaper at home (something I always think about doing)!

Be Mine

Love is in the air at our house (merci Birdie, for the love flags)

I am wearing my heart on my sleeve and showing the love.

Geek alert: That was my second annual valentines day selfie...here is last year's.

This girl, she is all in for vday...

Funny.  I don't think of vday as a major holiday...and yet as I look back through the past 6 years, I see that every year I get pretty jazzed about it, there is even more here.

One of my all time favorite valentines came in the form of a cookie, from my father in law to his wife.  Too cute.

Stamppot

O was in PDX last week, and to welcome him "home" we mashed together a dutch classic.   For as long as Holland is home, nothing says welcome home better than stamppot.

Et voila...with a side of carrots

I even happen to own a stamppotstamper.  Yes, that is really what it is called.

How was it?  Well....it wasn't terrible.  We didn't hate it.   Not sure it will be a tradition or anything...
