Nerd Alert

I rarely mix business and blogging.  And I try not to cross post the same content on various social media channels (ever since JLo pointed out how annoying that is - esp from insta to fb, I'm in total agreement).  However...I thought you may need help falling asleep enjoy seeing this.

Deep

Just reflecting on how sweet it is to spend all Fridays one-on-one with my best girl!

Visiting a Neighbor's Home

P and I popped over to a neighbor's house while the boys were at work/school today. We were a few centuries late on meeting him, but we enjoyed seeing his digs. Not going to lie...it was really cool to be there!

I Love Picking Up Funny Wifi Names

Willet-Holthuysen Museum

Admission price was worth it just to frolic in the lovely courtyard garden. But, the home was also fab.  I love a chance to peek in someone else's home, esp when it's a fancy canal house restored to its period glory.

Sweet W wanted to make sure we got a picture of mama too.  Pretty good composition, well done W.

The Bird

Ask P how she feels about getting caught in a downpour on the bike.

It's the first time I didn't have the cover on for them. Oops. Totally drenched!

Stop looking so big P

Rocking my old sweater. Baby girl is into vintage, she's hip like that.

O spotted this pic in a frame at his bros house. We were on our honeymoon. We still are.

Runner's High

1.5 weeks later, I am still riding the high from the race.  It was such a cool event.  Here are a few shots from facebook.

Here is the start:

Along the course...love those orange shirts!
This was a tunnel along the course that felt/look/sounded like a club - dj, strobe lights....
Coming into the stadium for the finish

This is Eva - a star around here (she opened for beyonce!), she ran the race and then performed at the after party
 The finish...

Funny Confession #214

After a 2 week trip around the globe (literally), my man returns in the morning! Yippee! To celebrate, I took myself out on an amazing date! I even showed up with flowers to kick it off right. Peonies, ice cream, 3D Gatsby, popcorn (with butter juice all over it, duh) and a fountain coke. God I'm a good date. I'd totally take me out again, and the night isn't even over. I cannot wait to jump in the sack.

Look how old tired my face looks.  Yikes.  See above, he was gone 2 full weeks.  I know lots of moms do this all the time, some even do it full time - they are amazing.  Dude, I'm not amazing, I'm worked.

Funny Confession #213

I am so immature...this cracks me up.

Fish Market

Love the colors

Maison Provincial

While down south, we shared this maison with lots and lots of cousins/aunts/uncles.  A good time was had by all...although it was a bit more provincial than most of us would have hoped for.  An additional bathroom (or five) would have been nice.  Luckily the weather was perfect, and the outdoor space was lovely.  Ooh la la.

Little Pig, Little Pig, Let Me Come In

I spotted and fell in love with this fun door in Ouderkerk, which was our final destination on Monday's bikeventure.

A few more vacation pix

Cousins have started to post some pix to facebook from our gathering a few weeks ago.  I borrowed a few favorites to post here.

Our little family.  On a boat.  On the mediterranean.  Off the coast of France.  Heading out to an island for a sunset picnic.  NBD.  Ahhhhhhhh!
 A la fete
 Avec Coco et Gilles
 Les belles cousines

Our last day was spent at an "American" themed amusement park called OK Corral.  It was very....interesting.  Bad country music blaring on all speakers, American flags everywhere...war paint, feathers, guns...you get the idea.  The place holds a lot of sentimental value for generations of families (including ours) who grew up going.  Perhaps it goes without saying, but if you have the chance to spend a few days in the south of France, you could should probably skip it.

That said, we went for it...
