Thank You HR

Wow. Gross.  I just thew up in my mouth after reading this sign and I am trying to find someone in HR to let me know what to do with it....

Good News from Burlington VT

One of our dearest friends in BTV popped the question, halloween style. Is he good or what?!?!  He has always been such an overachiever...leave it to him to make halloween romantic.  Awesome, right?!

2011 is Off To a Great Start

Along with a two other families, we have locked in on a little ski house to rent for the snowy winter months.

Note: Our little house looks nothing like the one pictured above.  But, we are still really excited about it.

Thisone sure is FABULOUS though, huh?  And its for sale....anyone got an extra $1,075,000 they want to pass my way?

Let it snow!

SKF

All of a sudden I want a turquoise wall in my room and a pink monogrammed duvet on my bed.  Or is it the headboard that I love?
Saw it here. And yes Jenny, I want to be friends with Kate too...

Rise

I'm afraid my hometown (also LeBron's hometown) does not agree...but I think this ad is rad...

Just do it.  Those nike folks are good...

The Shirt Before The Shirt

O prides himself on not having cable around here.  I support this approach...but when my friends come visit and remind me what I am missing it shakes my cable-less confidence.  I have never seen an episode of The Jersey Shore - my visiting girlfriends were shocked and dismayed.  Thank god for youtube.
And now I have WKF wearing a shirt before his shirt...to keep him "fresh to death".
T shirt time!

I love these girls!

Thriller, PDX

I have a friend in here...so cool.  She is doing her part to keep Portland Weird, zombie style.  Love it.

Le Petit Prince - Support the Arts!

What proper french family doesn't love Le Petit Prince?  We certainly do.

We started reading it to WKF from an early age...
And then it inspired his first bday party invites...
So I am sorta interested in checking out the play.  Don't forget to support the arts.  The O posted a nice review on it today

Photo du Jour

Starting tomorrow we have a yuck forecast, so I'll probably stop posting view shots at last. But these clouds were awesome...

Trader Joes

How pretty is this the packaging on these cake mixes? Well done TJs!

Yum.  Makes me want to bake a cake.  From a mix.  Now-ish.

Is this sunrise view getting old??

Not to me! Today was another beauty, I had to share.

Happy Birthday!

Although we celebrated this past weekend, today is the big day.  10/20/30 - what a fab birthday!  Happy 80 Annie! Everyone should have a cupcake today!

Another Lovely Morning!

Goodbyes Suck. Travel Safe Dear Friends.

Today is a sad sad day in PDX.  F.Y.C. is on a plane...headed down under to Aussie....FOR A YEAR.  We have had lots of good times with little F.Y.C.  His mama has been a critical fourth of our 4way monthly girls nights.  Pops is a total stud too.  PDX will not be the same without this family.  Travel safe, deliver a healthy perfect aussie baby, enjoy the visit, and then come home soooon.

More Love for Sesame Street

I've mentioned it before, and here I am again...telling you to watch Sesame Street.  I don't care if you don't have kids...or if your kids are too old...watch it, for you...its good.

Grover a la Old Spice...

I'm gonna think about this next time I am crying about my hair.  Remind me of this mimi...k?  Maybe I should try braids...

Sunrise

WKF had a front row seat for the epic sunrise today. He explained to me that the sun sleeps in a bed behind the mountain.

Celebreighty!

We had a beautiful weekend.  A surprise 80th for O's lovely mama Annie!

Here is the crew getting ready to pop up as Annie climbs the stairs unsuspectingly...
I wish this photo was closer up, so you could see the most gorgeous look on Annie's face!
Pop the corks...nothing but the best for Annie!

O made sure nobody went hungry, I made sure the fete was colorful...
The big kids and I snuck away on a secret pre-dinner cupcake mission...we may have each had a mini cupcake before dinner....shhhh...this part was a secret....

 Annie x 2

Some photobooth fun...Annie was in there somewhere too...surrounded by little people...

I'm so happy to have and to share this short video clip from our after dinner singalong...

Happy 80 beautiful.  You are so so loved.

A Good List

I have a blog friend celebrating a blogaversary.  I am a blog geek, so I want to give her a shout out for her 1 year.  Insert "Shout Out" here.  Keep up the good bloggin'!

I love that she started her blog with a list of promises for the blog.  Her top 3 are things that I want to promise to all of you, my faithful blog readers:
  • Long run-on sentences
  • Appalling misuse and abuse of the English language
  • Babbling about: parenting and family
What kind of a mommy blogger would I be without all 3?  Thanks for checking in and not bitching about any of them.  I love you for that.
